Meet George Simiyu, the 21 year old looking to become the next Mr Agriculture

  1. Tell us about yourself

My names are George Simiyu, a 21year old pursuing Bsc. Degree in Dairy Technology and Management currently a 3rd year. My relationship status is dating for now.

  1. When did you discover your modelling talent?

Modelling has not just been a talent to me, it’s also whom I have admired to be in life. At a young age, I used to watch KTN kids and fashion and I used to really like how they used to dress. Luckily they got support at a young age unlike I have come to build my modelling career at the University level.

  1. Why do you want to become Mr Agriculture 2019?

Becoming Mr. Agriculture is not just about winning; am not good at many things but modelling is what I do best. Winning this competition will gain me experience and the art of perfection in my modelling career.

  1. Is there anything you have learnt from the outgoing Mr Agriculture?

Both the winners had faith in themselves and even after failing the first times they didn’t give up. It’s not about winning, it’s always about what you bring to the table.

  1. Who do you look up to and why?

My professional model who lives for his repetition is Jidenna Theodore Mobisson a rapper and singer. He always meets style with elegance.

  1. If you were crowned as Mr Agriculture, what are you going to do differently?

If I was crowned Mr. Agriculture, first it would be one of the best moments of my life and secondly as a male model I want to use this platform to advocate for more innovations and inventions for the Agriculture industry. We need new developments in this sector. Currently youths have opted to find more greener pastures in towns yet the real deal of employment opportunities is at the rural areas.

  1. If crowned, what are you going to do to market this institution?

Gaining to be the champion at Mr. Agriculture contest, will enable gain of mass crowd and through this i would venture in modelling in other institutions and events whilst championing for this change. Using the major events where mass crowds are present passing this information would be made easier.

  1. Why do you think you are the most qualified to be Mr Agriculture 2019?

I don’t own to be the most qualified but what I present would talk for itself. Because it’s what I am.I believe in this words”To give without reward or any notice, has a special kind of quality of it’s own” And just in this same way I don’t recognize being the most qualified for the position of Mr.Agriculture but I believe in being the best at my work.

  1. Where do you see yourself in the next 1 year? 3 years?

In the coming future I wanna recognize myself with the best and modest fashion labell in East Africa Alongside emphasizing the need for development in Agricultural sector courtesy of my course and fashion industry. It would be dream come true for me.

  1. What message do you have for your fellow competitors?

For My fellow competitors, I take them as my pacesetters and not as competition because in winning something there is no ”me” but “we”. So whoever wins will be the stronghold and not just the winner. And appreciation to all is the best and sweetest thank you.

  1. What message do you have for anyone looking to venture into Modelling?

For the upcoming models; I want to live the dream and then encourage you that optimism is the faith that leads to achievement albeit nothing can be done without hope and confidence.
