Instagram is the place where we all go to update ourselves of what is happening in our lives and also spy on our friends.
There are several amazing features on Instagram including the Instastories and Instagram Live that have gotten us all hooked.
Particularly, the introduction of Instagram stories changed the Selfie game forever. This is because it almost become an unspoken rule that pictures that were just slightly not good enough for an actual Instagram post, could be thrown up as a story.
However, the social media platform that is popular among college women in Kenya and world over has undergone some changes ahead of 2019.
If you opened up Instagram today and found that your timeline orientation was totally switched, you’re not alone. It appears that quite a few users now have a timeline that moves left to right, where posts can be tapped through as they can be in stories.
But it looks like their most recent update is a bridge too far for quite a few people.
The new update appears to make it so that you don’t have to scroll down anymore, and instead you can simply swipe to see the next person on your timeline’s picture.
The tagline for the update is “Tap through posts, just like you tap through stories.”
It seems like a bit of a strange one, as not many people struggle with scrolling, and if they do, we’re not sure how swiping is any easier for them.
Needless to say, people have taken to Twitter to voice their displeasure.
Using “Dear Instagram” users from allover the world have registered their displeasure with the new update.
@instagram it seems everyone hates your new ‘tapping instead of scrolling’ update! At least give us an option to use the original feature! Im seriously thinking of quitting #instagram altogether!” Twitted @AllyHew07
