When Corona hit, everything came to a standstill and now it seems like it is not going away. We have to learn to live with it. However, for students, Corona meant no school and little to no support from parents and guardians. Therefore, we have to find ways to survive. While many have gone into starting businesses, there are those of us who were not cut out to be entrepreneurs. 1. Join Job Search Websites

Now this can sometime be discouraging especially if they ask for money that you sometimes do not even have. However, joining such platforms gives you access to a wide pool of opportunities from which you can select your preferred job. To be successful with such platforms, you also need to check on your CV optimization and cover letter.  They contribute a lot to you securing an interview which results to securing a job.

2. Be Patient and Consistent

This is very important especially when things are not panning out as you planned. You have to be very patient and consistent with your job search. I am sure if you constantly apply for a minimum of 5 jobs a day consecutively for a month or two, something positive will turn out. Do not apply for one job and sit back to wait for good reply. Apply to several and you will increase the chances of landing the best.

3. Never be Selective with your Job Search

When you are looking for a job, you can’t afford to be selective. Any opportunity that knocks at your door is an opportunity worth pursuing. It will give you a launchpad from which you can grow into the career you want to pursue. Therefore, even if an opportunity comes your way that is not in line with your profession or which you consider to be below your level, take it.

4. Learn a New Skill

Today’s world requires us to be skilled in different areas and therefore learning a new skill will give you an upper hand thus making you more marketable. Learn something knew. This is perharps the most important tip of the five. Remember to keep the dream alive and have a strong desire to succeed.
