Zetech University Awards Best Students During Graduation Ceremony

In the recent Zetech University graduation ceremony, thousands of students were awarded and conferred upon the powers to read and write. The colorful ceremony held at the varsity main campus was crowned with a memorable award session designed to celebrate outstanding students in both academic and co-curricular activities.

The overall award was gifted to Mercy Opata Imai, a degree graduate in the Business department, who attained a first class and was selected by a panel from a competitive list of awardees to take home the coveted award.

Awarded by the event Chief Guest, Mr. Joe Muganda, Group CEO, Nation Media Group, Ms. Imai expressed her delight in the award, reflecting on the successful journey she has enjoyed at the university. Serving as the graduation class valedictorian, she thanked the leadership, faculty and fellow graduates for ensuring she has a prosperous campus experience.

In the IT department, Julius Gichane was selected as the best student in the undergraduate section and was congratulated on achieving a first class while Yasmin Mustafa was recognized as the best Diploma in ICT.

Commenting on the session, varsity Vice-Chancellor Prof. Edwin Wamukoya lauded the 15 winners in the various categories, emphasizing the importance of acknowledging those who excelled and awarding them for their outstanding performance,

“It is important and fulfilling to take time to recognize and celebrate our best students, through the support of our valued partners who stepped in to sponsor this integral part of our 2017 graduation,” he said.

In the extra-curricular categories, Joshua Kisali was awarded the Best Basketball player of the year for effectively balanced success in class and on the field; Joel Kahimba won the overall Best Male in Sports while Deborah Atieno clinched the overall Best Female in Sports In the other various departments, the below students received recognition:
